The "supposedly" democratic President giving a speech on national TV, on the day before the election of the national parliment? Asking voters to vote for a cooperative parliment. Cooperative to who? The ruling party? The people?
The Korean TV media says that they are impartial and unbiased, but when you look at the visuals, the story is clear. The picture on the screen always shows smiling and reasonable ruling parliment members versus unhappy and complaining opposition parlimentary members. They are also showing ruling party members with leading actors and actress supporting them in their campaigns. They also show opposition members with actors and actreses, but they are less famous and there were fewer references per party. Also the ruling party is always mentioned first. Even in discussion panels, the panel will rip into the opposition but are careful when mentioning the ruling party.
The Ministry of Unification giving a press conference on North Korean defectors? It is something the ministry has never done before. They are supposed to work towards ending hostilities, not increase them. The government never officially announces the defections of important North Koreans due to repercussions from North Korea, To do this would almost guarantee some rash reponse from North Korea which probably would only help the ruling party in the parlimentary elections. North Korean has been silent so far. Hey, maybe they are getting smarter. I hope that this doesn't count as promoting the North Korean regime, which is illegal. People get arrested every year, it seems.
Maybe someone should report on Korean media? It seems that the Korean President through the government can appoint the CEO of a major TV company and other things. Stand-up comedians cannot make jokes about the President for some reason.
Do you know that if I blog in favor or against a candidate today or tomorrow, I would be charged with a crime? It is true. I cannot blog in favor or against a candidate during the national election period of about 2 weeks.
And yet, the Korean government through the Military Cyber Command and the Korean NSA's undercover agents can blog against the opposition "to counter North Korean influence on the internet"? The Military Cyber Command was found guilty on some charges and NSA was found innocent, I think, on some technicality? They had agents try to commit suicide for faking evidence in spy cases and other shit in recent years. One suceeded?
Considering how much agitiation is being done by the media, it seems that the ruling party is in danger of losing its majority in the parliment for the first time in 5, 7 years?
Now, back to the metaphysical world. Can self-awareness actually be another intelligence "inside" the human? Explains our extraordinary intelligence and conflicts with human or "physical" nature.
